Our team will engage directly with local communities and key stakeholders through a wide-ranging public engagement programme, beginning this summer.
There will be lots of opportunities to participate in the various online and in-person engagement activities. Find all the details for the events below.
Saturday 30th July, 11am-3pm
Join us outside the front entrance of Buchanan Galleries to learn more about future plans for this area of the city centre. You will get the chance to meet members of the design team, enjoy live music performances, and take part in free skate workshops, led by Scottish social enterprise Skate of Mind, with equipment provided.

Wednesday 3rd August, 4-6pm
Thursday 4th August, 10am-12pm
Join New Practice, along with other members of the design team, at one of two Visions and Principles Workshops. We’ll take a tour around the Buchanan Galleries site to discuss your perceptions on the area and consider its urban possibilities. Following this, New Practice will host a Visions and Principles Workshop at our Consultation Space inside Buchanan Galleries. We’ll have an open conversation to help the design team better understand current perspectives on the area around Buchanan Galleries, and provide insight to the future possibilities for the area.

Thursday 4th August, 6.30-8.30pm
Join our team at the New Auditorium of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for an evening of design team presentations followed by a panel discussion. Chaired by Tamsie Thomson, CEO of Royal Institute of Architects Scotland, you'll hear from key members of the design team working on the redevelopment of Buchanan Galleries. Key themes guiding the work and potential directions for the future of Buchanan Galleries will be shared, followed by a Q&A session.
