Buchanan Galleries is in the heart of Glasgow city centre, one of the best shopping hubs in the UK.
We're located on the corner of Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street, and you'll find entrances on both streets.
As we're in the city centre we're very handy for public transport. We're next to Queen Street train station, Buchanan Street subway station and Buchanan bus station. Glasgow Central train station is also just 5 minutes' walk away.
You can enter the car park from either Killermont Street or Cathedral Street. If you're using a route finder or sat nav, use postcode G2 3NW as your destination. This isn't the postcode for the centre, but it will direct you to our Killermont Street entrance.
Please note, there is a 2.1m height restriction to be able to get into the car park.
Please be advised we are a cashless car park.
Once you're parked, a link bridge will take you right into Buchanan Galleries. Park on Level 3 for direct access to the shops via the link bridge.
Park on Level 2 for John Lewis & Partners customer collection.
From 1 June 2023, Glasgow's Low Emission Zone (LEZ) will come into force.
All vehicles entering the city centre zone area will need to meet the less-polluting emission standards or face a penalty charge. Our car park is located within the LEZ.
You can see if your vehicle meets LEZ emission standards by using Transport Scotland's vehicle registration checker below.
We have 2 electric charging points available which are located on Level 3 of the car park. You'll find them near to the lift lobby on the same level. These are operated on a first come first served basis.
The two main train stations in Glasgow city centre are very close to Buchanan Galleries. Queen Street station is 50 metres from us. Central station is slightly further, but only around a 10 minute walk away.
Both stations run frequent services throughout central Scotland. In addition, Central Station provides services linking throughout Scotland and from down south. For details on services from Queen Street please visit National Rail and for Glasgow Central Network Rail.
Buchanan bus station - the bus hub for Glasgow - is directly opposite the centre, on Killermont Street. Both national and local services run from here.
For information on services and operators from Buchanan bus station, visit the SPT website. For information on public transport services throughout Scotland to help you plan your journey, visit the Traveline Scotland website.
If you're coming by bike, we have bike racks in our car park, conveniently located at both entrances - near to the Killermont Street entrance (beside John Lewis, and opposite the bus station) and near to the Cathedral Street entrance.
Use the journey planner on the CycleStreets website - enter your destination as G1 2FF.
Or find a journey planner on the Sustrans website.
If you're coming by taxi, ask your driver to drop you off at either:
Killermont Street, opposite the bus station and outside of John Lewis. You can then enter John Lewis, and access the rest of the centre from the store
Nelson Mandela Place, close to Buchanan Street
If you're looking for a taxi to take you home, the nearest taxi ranks are at Buchanan bus station and Queen Street station.
